Symptoms
You are unable to set a PIN when your Windows 10 PC is connected to a domain, Your domain controller is based on Windows Server 2008 R2.
Cause
Windows 10 is not compatible with group policy on Windows 2008 R2 domains.
Resolution
We can change a registry key on the client PC to enable PIN logon and Fingerprint logons.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System] "AllowDomainPINLogon"=dword:00000001
Reboot client PC to apply changes
Add PIN in settings – Sign-in Options
